OVERVIEW
Always remember the words of the great masters who lived when the world was primitive and naive. When the hope of growth and enlightenment was the way forward and the tools of their labours were their understanding and fundamental need for improvement and diversity in all things. How well they knew their environment and so protected its fragility, never taking more than was needed from nature's gifts, therefore, always ensuring a future of plenty. Their lives were gifted, their hearts were pure and their teachings were the foundations on which future generations would build, slowly but surely, gaining in knowledge and ability to advance and improve with an ever growing strength and diversity.
What lessons have been learned from their strength and wisdom? Little it would seem from the atrocities and mayhem prevailing in the world today. The constant struggle for power, the need for adulation and total submission by societies for a single ruler or dictator is destructive, if not fool hardy, when met with worldwide condemnation and still arrogantly ignored. Much of the population is starving and living with disease in total squalor while other societies squander their excesses to what can only be described as a grotesque degree. How can the world evolve and resolve its problems when there is such an unfair diversity within its population? If only excesses and greed could be overpowered by the need to share and protect that which cannot be attained once lost forever, then the world may have a slim chance of long term survival.
Alone you may feel like a single grain in a desert of ever shifting sand, lost, manipulated and manoeuvred by its powerful mass, where you become an invisible part of its endless motion, pushing and pulling you in ways you do not wish to go until you become resigned to the fact that, as a single grain of sand moving in the right direction, you can make a difference. One grain of sand moves and creates a space in which another grain follows, then another, and another, until the desert sands are moving together in a more positive direction, on a journey of enlightenment and purpose, in a life that is chosen and not driven by the masses who move relentlessly in their endeavours to maintain a useless but easy existence.
Useless are we who reach into our hearts without finding a care for life or for others. Singular existence is both non-productive and selfish, therefore, to strive only for what is right for you will inevitably lead to a world which is dysfunctional and self destructive. Whilst wars ravage the world’s population through unnecessary fighting and monumental monetary costs, natural disasters are left unattended through lack of resources both in manpower and finance. This world and its resources are both precious and sadly depleted to the point where even the most uncivilised and uneducated within its population are becoming only too aware of what the future holds. Mankind has the wherewithal to both redeem the situation and, with careful application, greatly improve it, thereby encouraging future generations to follow in the footsteps of not just a few but of many.
Where is the sense in destroying the things that sustain you? There is a choice, a choice to be made by each and every one of you. Show loyalty, have compassion for those who show little or no respect for themselves or for how their lives impact upon society or the environmental resources which they abuse, for theirs is a life of selfish existence which, in the fullness of time, will have no useful purpose whatsoever. Ask yourselves, is such a life really worth living? for every living organism must give something in return for its existence if the very core of its life support is to be maintained for its species.
Raise your heads above the parapet of your own existence and spare a thought for those who lack the intellect and common sense to integrate within society in a positive way. Do not allow their futile lives to negate that which you work so hard to uphold and support, for you are the protector of your planet and you are responsible for maintaining the equilibrium of its resources if your species is to survive. This will not change your lives in any noticeable way, but if you can make one small gesture each day over and above that which is within your daily remit then you and all others who also feel the responsibility to acknowledge the magnitude of life will each play a part in the balance of its continued evolution.
Look into your hearts and find a love over and above that which is personal to you. A fundamental love for all that gives and sustains life for mankind, a love for the essence of your very existence. Nurture this love for it is that which will protect and sustain your life force for generations to come, only those who care can begin to protect the world from the broadly selfish civilisation of today, a civilisation that generally lives only for today. There is at present always a tomorrow, but for how long can that be relied upon to be the status-quo? Nothing lasts for ever without protection from that which saps it of life, so join together, all those of you who have a care, and work towards your long term survival.
Always try to walk a path of enlightenment, step in the footprints of those who came before you, those who cared enough for the future to preserve the gifts of their world long before your very existence, for their legacy lives on for you to enjoy today. But what of your legacy? What can you give? How can your life reflect that innately precious gift instilled upon you? A gift which requires an element of responsibility on your part to fully enjoy that which you have now, coupled with the ability to understand that it is now your turn to protect the world in order for your race to survive, thereby ensuring that the efforts of your ancestors were not endured in vain. Each generation evolves to become more advanced than the last, but with that advancement comes a destructive erosion of the worlds resources. For just how long can these precious resources be maintained?
In your quiet moments, relax your mind and allow it to resonate with the universal energies that surround you. Although you may feel and hear nothing, conversely, the benefits you receive are more powerful than that which may be attained in everyday life. To meditate, as this practice may be loosely termed, is to allow yourself a freedom from that which troubles you, a freedom from pain and the intrusion of all that invades your personal space, a time when negative energies can be dispelled and a powerful air of calm can recharge your mind and body thus empowering you to forge ahead with your daily life, energised with clearer thought patterns and a more positive approach to that which you may otherwise find a daunting prospect. The power of your mind is unequivocally more beneficial than all other assets available to you and when used to its best advantage will give you a clearer insight into love, life and the future of mankind.
Most of you know the difference between right and wrong, very few of you are unaware of your failings even though you choose to ignore the fact that, whatever your indiscretions may be, and however they appear to embellish certain aspects of your own existence, overall they will have an extremely negative impact upon the environment and within the society which surrounds you. This kind of negative and antisocial behaviour can all too soon become endemic within closely interactive societies whereby it is soon interpreted as normal and almost expected within certain peer groups. Children born of parents displaying this type of behavioural trait will, of course, develop with these innately destructive personalities, thus changing the behavioural pattens of mankind as each generation evolves. How long will it be before negative is the dominant emotion and existence takes an ever downward spiral until all that is positive and productive in the world is lost for ever? This will, therefore, in the fullness of time create a world which is, at present, almost unimaginable.
Always allow yourselves time, initially, to approach life's problem from an indirect perspective. Ponder a while within the grey areas, for it is there that you will find a wealth of options available to you, these will not be immediately obvious if the more direct approach is adopted from the outset. The answers are always there, a little time and application will direct you towards a solution which may not be entirely on a par with that which may normally be applied to the complexities of a given situation. This is a good lesson for all as it challenges the mind, allows the thought pattens to expand beyond their normal insular realms and encourages life itself to ever broaden your horizons.
Many and varied are the problems of your world. Vast are the challenges that lie ahead of you all. Avoiding the inevitable will subsequently add to the underlying and insidious nature of the destruction of your ecological systems. That which is obvious to you now, brought about by changes in your weather pattens, global warming and the endless destruction of the rain forests is but the smallest part of the overall picture. "Not in my lifetime" is a dangerous attitude to adopt, for although that may be true, what of the lifetime of your children and your children's children, can you really afford to be so cavalier with their future? Now is the time to investigate the onset of change for the better, in whatever way possible, albeit small, for as previously stated, together you can make a difference, which will, without question, eventually be the dawning of a new and ecologically more forgiving existence.
Answers are to questions as sustenance is to life. All that sustains you is no longer a given thing which can be constantly relied upon. There are many in your world who are already starving and dying in their thousands. Now is the time to ask questions for it is the answers that will save you from the devastation to come. You need to know and understand why your world is failing to maintain its natural habitat, failing in its growth and becoming nothing more than a barren landscape where crops fail and the food chain begins to break down. There will come a time when supermarkets and general stores will not be able to supply all the requirements which you have so long taken for granted. It will not be just the third world countries who suffer, but slowly the erosion will spread until eating habits will be changed for all of you, no matter how wealthy you may think you are at present, the time will come when you cannot buy that which your world cannot produce. So fragile are your ecological systems that your world is in danger and, therefore, so are you.

Having taken the time to read this overview, pick up a pen and write a few words for yourself, make a list of all the things which you think are wrong with the way you live your life and then see where it tallies within an overall score between good and bad and where it might impact upon the troubles of your world. Be honest with yourself and do not be ashamed to admit that your lifestyle may be failing to address certain fundamental issues which are also having a negative impact upon you as an individual. It is so easy to assume that your personal weaknesses and failings will not affect the broader picture, but they will! If your world is to change, you also have to change, so compile your list with care and then act upon it. Allow your actions to reflect upon your family, friends and associates in order that they may follow your example, thereby electing to instigate the onset of change without even having to speak a word.
Over the months to follow, take the first few words of the overview teachings and use them as your mantra. Take one each month and by repeating it to yourself on a regular basis it will become part of your consciousness thus becoming part of your life. I list them below for you to use if you have the will and wish to improve the structure of your life.

Answers are to questions as sustenance is to life. |
Never allow your beliefs, your hopes or your inspirations to be diminished in any way by others who strive to intimidate you into succumbing to their somewhat negative views. Views which are powered by insecurities and a lack of ability to expand the boundaries of their insular lives, thus enabling them to encompass the broader picture. These individuals see your way of life and understanding as a threat, for it is thought provoking and inspiring and therefore ever a reminder that they are lacking in the ability to improve their lives and expand their resistance to change. These are powerful people who feed their personalities with jealousy, envy, anger and a steely determination to resist the basic understanding of a selfless existence. Do not feel you have to fit in for it is the quiet perseverance for that which is right, which will, albeit with difficulty, win converts in the end. Lead by example no matter how difficult it may seem at the time and have the courage to be true to yourself.
Treasure the moments when you feel the need to give, for they are the most precious moments in your daily life. To give unconditionally is a rare quality in many humans and a gift, which , if shared by all, would be a major step towards a change for the better in the world as we know it today. To give and not take would spread kindness, love and equality in life, which in turn, would instigate a less jealous and selfish state of mind in those who feel it is their right to just obtain that which must be worked for and to aspire to the lifestyle which they so envy and strive to reach by totally the wrong means. Consider how much improved life would be if sharing was natural and instinctive in all mankind.
Research the world around you, understand your local environment, know your enemies and love your neighbours, maybe not as you love your family but in the general sense of the word, for they are living the same life as you, enduring the same worldly problems as you, even though their financial and living standards may differ greatly from yours. Understanding is the answer to many of life's problems, taking the time to consider why a situation has arisen, why an individual is behaving in a certain manner, why you feel that life is going wrong and then searching for a way forward, not for the world as a whole but for your small part of it, your environment, your home in your town or village. Grouping together with your fellow man, your contemporaries, your friends and neighbours to improve your environmental and social standards will eventually spread to amalgamate with other social groups in different environments to generally improve the broader spectrum of life and the way you live it.
Redemption is a powerful tool with which to carve a pathway towards a better and more fulfilling life. To redeem yourself of the rigours of wrong doing and negativity is to cleanse your inner being and allow your higher self the freedom to live as you were born to be. Kindness, a love and support of your fellow man and a need to build a better future does not display weakness but a powerful inner strength which cannot be contrived and stands firm to dispel the efforts of those who may encourage you to join their armies of negativity and destruction.
Alienate yourself, little by little from all that is destructive in your life, albeit people, practices or an ill gotten belief derived from a negative association. Allow yourself the freedom to breathe, to dispel inner tensions born of the constant struggle to endure the vagaries of a world your generation has created. Afford yourself a modicum of peace and tranquillity by knowing that you are not adding to the problems and understanding that to do right by yourself, for the goodness of others, is a commitment towards building a brighter and more universally stable future for all.
Ask yourself a question, is your happiness and state of mind based entirely upon that which is achieved via monetary gain or is it born out of a sense of achievement through the way you live your life and the impact that has on those around you. Do you not feel an innate sense of well being when you are filled with the wonders of nature, a clear blue sky, warm summer sunshine, the freedom to walk in a flower meadow or swim in the crystal surf, feeling the wind on your face or watching children play in the winter snow. These are the treasures your world has to offer, these are gifts for all of you to accept and enjoy no matter what your level of monetary wealth. You have the freedom to take from nature's gifts, so long as you realise that you must play your part in replenishing its resources. Live a slightly greener life, limit your excesses when using that which is free, recycle, re-invent, feel pleasure in knowing that it will make a difference and that in so doing it is making your life worthwhile.
Lonely are you who attain self worth at the cost of the destruction of that which is unable to defend its loss. It is so easy to take from the abundance of nature, the weak and the generous who give so willingly, often unaware that their generosity will be exploited by the strength of greed and the need for power achieved by an uncaring and over ambitious personality. True self worth is achieved by hard work and a sense of fairness in all aspects of life, coupled with compassion for that which may have been lost during the process of achievement, albeit from natural resources, the help of others and the kindness of those who give so freely when achieving nothing of materialistic value for themselves, for they are the true high achievers who have the capacity to comprehend the meaning of self worth in its entirety.

Re-evaluate your understanding of life as you have always known it, for that life is changing on a daily basis and not for the better. Redirect your focus onto more than just yourselves.
It is clear that my gentle introduction to the negative influences surrounding you and your planet is insufficient to achieve the impact that you all so obviously need to instigate a greater change in your attitudes towards the application of your individual life skills and their impact upon your planet and the demographic destruction of a civilised existence between nations.
You
must all embark upon this change now before it is too late, for you
are beginning to destroy one another and this will soon become far
more obvious to you all than the current sad insidious death of the
natural elements of your planet, which is, at present, only obvious
to a small minority who already know and care.

Speak
to one another, really listen then try to interpret the views of
others, do your best to neutralise any radical issues which often go
un-noticed or left un-kempt beneath the surface in the most innocuous
of individuals, those you would least expect, people you think you
know, but do you really? They are a danger to your planet, for it is
their unseen and often unheard inner views, which are rarely
vocalised to there full potential, that fester and envelop those
around them through their often unfulfilled belief in all that is
wrong for your world until their negative actions overpower all which
is required to improve society and life generally. Therefore, all
that is currently taken for granted will continue to decompose
through nothing more than the lack of ability to communicate and
pre-empt the possibility of dangerous intent on a much deeper
level.
